Ever wanted to try your hand at making something? Now you and your friends can, by booking a MAKE WITH FI party. Let me help you to personalise your chosen item along with your pals / colleagues for a fun filled crafty experience. Together we will use CricutTM to create your own unique designs- I have over 10 years experience using CricutTM and I’m excited to share it with you.
Suitable for almost any get together; birthdays (kids [9+] and adult), Hen Do’s, team building, baby shower, book group – you name it, I’ll work with you to create the perfect event to suit your needs.

What can you make? There’s scope to make lots of things, it’s entirely up to you and the items I can source. Some examples are: T shirt, Apron, Tote bag, name on water bottle / wine glass, Babygro, wedding signs / table numbers / hen party items – and I’m always open to suggestions! I work mostly using CricutTM digital cutting machines, vinyl & Iron on, but if there’s anything else you’re interested in, please do ask.
How much does a party cost? That will vary and depend on numbers of people, the nature of the project and the estimated time it will take (including prep time). I will work along side you to generate a quote to meet your needs. (minimum £120 for the party required)
How many people can attend? Numbers will depend on the activity. I can work with small groups in my home or studio (max 8) . Some crafts can be done with larger groups – I can advise at the point of enquiry. Children must be over 9years old to attend. I will ask a parent / carer to stay in attendance for children under 14yrs.
Can the party be hosted at a location of my choosing? I’m happy to negotiate – travel costs / time will be factored into the quote. Not all locations are suitable but happy to discuss.
How does it work? Having decided on your craft activity and having agreed all of the party details including date, price and venue, I would take a non-refundable deposit (30%) for the event to secure the booking. This will allow me to buy all the necessary materials. Where sizes (for clothing) are required, I would need this information one week after booking to allow me to order in advance of the party. Final balance of the party is due on the day, at the start of the party, via bank transfer or cash. All information would be emailed to the party host and an invoice supplied.
On the day: You and your guests will be met with a warm Katy Lou welcome, followed by an introduction to the ‘make’ itself. You will then have the opportunity to design and bring to life your chosen craft, with my help. You can come armed with ideas, or even your own designs or we can get creative on the day. At the end of the session you and your party will be the proud owners of your bespoke creations and will leave feeling super creative and hopefully inspired!
How your quote is created? I will take into account all your requirements; party size, your chosen make, and factor in costs for time and materials. In some situations I will need to limit size of design or limit the number of colours used in the project – I will make this clear at the time. (for example – a quote for a max 3 colour, single side, A4 sized design on a tote bag for 6 people) – by being specific I can calculate costs to give you best value for money (& prevent things escalating on the day!)

The not so small SMALL print! – Please read!
Event details & acceptance of quote: It’s important that you give me as much information at the point of enquiry as possible so I can cost accordingly. No one likes surprises, so I cannot add in additional activities if they’ve not been asked for at the point of booking. Once a booking is confirmed by email and deposit taken, changes to the event activity cannot be made. I will estimate the length of time it will take to run your party – it’s impossible to be accurate but I will do my best based on my experience.
Deposits: Any deposits are non refundable – this is because I will use to buy supplies for your event. Your deposit will be 30% of the total party cost. If your event is rescheduled, I can use any purchased supplies, so an additional deposit would not be required.
Should you need to reschedule (I know – life happens!) – please contact me at the earliest opportunity – I will do my best to rearrange ASAP. It is NOT POSSIBLE to reschedule within 24hrs of the party – see cancellation policy.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your event after booking and paying the deposit this will NOT be refunded. If you cancel your party (for whatever reason) within 24 hours of the planned party – full payment of the balance is required. Full payment of the event balance will be required in the event of a no show. If you cancel your party between booking, up to 24hrs from the start of the party, no further payment will be required but the event deposit will be not be refunded.
Due to the nature of preparation before a party it is not possible to refund individuals for non attendance.
RE: designs on the day: Please note – copyright and licensed images will not be reproduced – please don’t ask me to – the answer will be NO!
I have access to an image library and these are the images that will be used unless you supply your own original artwork (SVG or PNG format) – pulling artwork from google is not allowed.
If you have specific font requests (for example for a wedding) please let me know and I’ll do my best to source. Some fonts are for personal use only.
If you supply original artwork (business logo for example) you will own the artwork and I will not recreate. If you use images supplied by me, I will own those images and they can’t be reproduced beyond the party.
Finally: I think I’ve covered everything here but I reserve the right to add / amend these T&C’s – any changes would of course be communicated and would be reasonable amends. Confirming a booking, via email, assumes you are in agreement to all the above T&Cs.
